Xpress are delighted to be retained once again by one of our Independent Highland based Clients as we assist them in their pre-opening plans after Covid19. As we plan to move forward in the wake of what has been an awful last year within the Hospitality sector our Clients are also taking this opportunity to create this new and senior role within their business as they look to appoint a General Manager or indeed a Management Team for this standalone traditional Scottish inn built in 1838, The Inn itself has gained over the years many accolades ranging from outstanding local seafood to locally sourced produce the Inn itself has a long tradition of working with local Highland and Island independent brewers and distillers to establish the Inn as a highland destination offering a great contemporary range of products set within a warm and friendly hospitality environment which comes alive with traditional music and events set within an outstanding scenic location within the North Coast 500 route
The Job
Ideally we are looking for an experienced Bar Manager or a Bar Management Team who are now looking to take that first step up either as an Individual or as a Team into that senior management position of General Manager.
As General Manager you will be fully responsible for managing all of the Inns departments within the property, as part of your remit you will be responsible for the continually improvement of productivity, food quality, service and increasing sales and profit throughout the Inn.
You will directly report into the owners and you will be fully supported in all areas of the business with an effective and engaging operational management team, to help you in achieving the revenue and guest satisfaction targets. You will be fully responsible for creating an exceptional guest experience; you will be highly visible in the front of house operation and will spend time communicating with your guests in this highly engaging and busy environment.
The Person
The successful candidate or team will be able to demonstrate a background gained within the hospitality arena perhaps from a Bar, Country House Inn or niche Pub with rooms environment where you are at ease in dealing with both local regular patrons as well as tourists staying at the Inn as part of a trip or experience.
Applying candidates must be able to highly experience or strong rational as to why they like living or working with rural locations as this appointment requires people to understand the mechanics of how Highland or rural living can effect and engage with the local wider community
Candidates applying for this role need to clearly demonstrate within their CV progression and stability within their career and a background that aligns itself with this type of product offering within a community and destination venue.
The Rewards
A competitive salary of c.£35,000 to £40,000 + Live In Package await the successful candidate.
