Hampton by Hilton opens in Edinburgh's Fountainbridge
The 228-room hotel opening creates 40 new jobs and takes the Hampton by Hilton estate in Scotland to five.
Hotel giant Hilton has created 40 new jobs opening its first Hampton by Hilton outlet in Edinburgh's Fountainbridge area.
The 228-room hotel takes its Hampton by Hilton estate in Scotland to five, adding to outlets in Glasgow and Dundee and two in Aberdeen.
The new Edinburgh hotel sits on the site of the former North British Rubber Company, which manufactured a variety of products including rubber Wellington boots and hot-water bottles.
Paul Wood, general manager of Hampton by Hilton Edinburgh West End, said: “Edinburgh is one of the busiest conference destinations in the UK and is second only to London for attracting international tourist visitors so we are looking forward to providing a warm welcome and stay for guests as they explore the charms of Scotland’s capital city.”
