The Benefits:

Our client is an established Commercial Property Organisation. As part of their 2024 development plans, they are now looking at creating 2 new Regional Operational Director one Northern, and one Southern based. This newly created position of Regional Operations Director will have an attractive starting salary of more than £125,000 + a senior management bonus and incentive scheme coupled with additional outstanding company benefits. Package circa £175,000

The Job:
As Regional Operational Director you will be fully responsible for a group of independent hotels that are currently operating and running as standalone profits centres circa £18m, all properties will come under the direction of the Regional Operational Director and will enjoy the benefits of being able to take advantage of all current back office systems and process covering support such as Revenue, Payroll HR, IT provided by the holding company which encapsulates a much larger trading organisation. As ROD you will be fully accountable for financial performance, people management, and development in line with company policies and working with group HR and Training departments, as ROD you will be heavily involved in working with marketing, sales, and events to ensure all your units are working and achieving best returns from Head office support. Services and standards and customer satisfaction are critical KPI in today’s guest experience so monitoring reviews and reacting to all feedback will be a critical reporting tool to that of the ROD

The Person:
Ideally, we are looking to attract a highly driven and experienced multi-site professional with strong operational and commercial experiences, someone who perhaps could be working for a small medium independent operator and is now looking to take that next step up in their career development.

Our client at this stage in their “Portfolio development” is not excited about attracting a cluster or area Hotel operator who has been working in Multi-sited Branded Hotel background. Unless, you can clearly demonstrate they have worked in non-branded and privately owned estates and fully understand the major trading differences between operating with a Regional group of Branded Hotels of running and controlling that of a Regional Group of Unbranded Hotels. As ROD you will clearly be able to demonstrate your career growth to date and perhaps you are set on aiming towards being a future Managing Director within the next 2 to 3 years. Our clients would see this individual as being someone they would like their retained consultants to be talking to. As retained consultants, Xpress would be delighted at this stage in the process to initially talk to all interested parties corporate trained, balanced with perhaps a sprinkle of entrepreneurial exposure or indeed those from asset management who have operational experience.

The Place
Our client is a large Property Organisation that over the last 10 years has been growing and developing their own Independent Hotel portfolio which has predominantly been through acquisition, as a business our client over the next 5 years is looking at future growth and expansion within the Accommodation marketplace.
