Scotland Xpress/WT/8384 Salary Permanent A salary of up to £40,000 per annum, along with great bonus potential and live-in accommodation if needed.


The Place:


Xpress is seeking a Hotel Manager for a beautiful, luxury boutique hotel in remote Scotland. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering 5-star service standards across the hotel, assisting in commercial and operational success.


 


The Job:


This is a hands-on Hotel Manager role and would suit an existing Hotel Manager or an up-and-coming Operational Manager with previous experience in the luxury sector. The Hotel Manager will be responsible for coordinating, overseeing, and organising all the activities involved in the smooth and effective running of this boutique hotel on a day-to-day basis. In addition to the operational requirements, they will be responsible for all front-of-house activity. Taking a ‘hands-on’ approach to the role, they will lead the business to ensure the delivery of genuine and welcoming service to all hotel guests at all times keeping the welfare of the team at heart.


 


The Person:


To be successful in this Hotel Manager role, you will need to have experience working in a business that has significant changes in levels of business on a seasonal basis. A preferable experience in the rural Country House Hotel market is desired. Proven experience in business development, marketing and networking, and you thrive and lead by example. A good planner with strong organisational skills and attention to detail, an excellent communicator with all stakeholders, and a willingness to “get hands-on” as and where required. A good understanding of HR and H&S legislation. Desirable if you have previous experience in the luxury hotel sector, experience in fine dining at multiple rosette level and if you have strong knowledge and passion for wine, that would be an added bonus.
