The Job
As Venue Operational Director you will be solely responsible for managing the Operational structure for this newly created Venue in the heart of Edinburgh City Centre. Report directly into one of the founding directors, Ideally, we are looking to recruit the right Venue Operational Director ASAP ensuring that this senior manager can get up and running and be able to get themselves well plugged into the operational planning of systems, processes, staff recruitment and training as early as possible within the current pre-opening and planning stages! As Venue Operational Director you will be accountable for all Financial, Operational Planning, Staffing and all current Compliances relating to Health and Safety and Staff training and health and wellbeing
The company envisages this Venue Operational Director will be “The Face” and the go to point of contact for “Edinburgh Street Foods” based at this new Edinburgh location. Your job remit will be to be heavily involved in the marketing, attractions sales and promotions relating to the venue which will mean working heavily with your newly created team all suppliers, Edinburgh Council, Visit Scotland and Visitor Attractions associations to ensure that this new and exciting “venue” attracts both local and international customers as well as working with the 10 creative street food vendors! The Person:
Ideally, we are looking to attract an experience individual to be based in Edinburgh who knows what the demands of running large scale venues or events can be like!! Spinning plates! Juggling daily priorities and understand the energy that is required in running large busy food, drink, and outside entertainment venues!! You might well be perhaps an experienced Area Management, Cluster Management or large-scale Volume Wet or Food lead venues General Manager right now!!

Our client is looking to appoint a Venue Operations Director on a Basic circa £65,000 to £75,000 basic with an outstanding performance related benefits and bonus scheme that will make this a £100,000 appointment.
