Xpress is delighted to be working with an independent small boutique hotel client who has established itself with an outstanding inn, restaurant and bar reputation based on supplying outstanding locally sourced fresh sea and land produce all within 25 miles of its operations. This Inn itself is set in an idyllic location within the world-famous North Coast 500 road touring route of the Highland and Islands of Scotland.
Our client is now looking to attract a General Manager to oversee the senior management team in achieving outstanding awards and accolades for this amazing property which is part of the business being repositioned for growth and expansion from 2023 onwards.
As General Manager you will be fully responsible for managing all of the Inn’s departments within the property, as part of your remit you will be responsible for the continual improvement of productivity, food quality, and service and increasing sales and profit throughout the Inn.
You will directly report to the company’s senior operational team and you will be fully supported in all areas of the business with an effective and engaging senior operational management team, to help you in achieving the revenue and guest satisfaction targets. You will be fully responsible for creating an exceptional guest experience; you will be highly visible in the front-of-house operation and will spend time communicating with your guests in this highly engaging and busy environment.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a background gained within the hospitality arena perhaps from a Bar, Country House Inn, or niche Pub with the environment of rooms where you are at ease in dealing with both local regular patrons as well as tourists staying at the Inn as part of a trip or experience.
Applying candidates must be able to highly experienced or strong rationale as to why they like living or working in rural locations as this appointment requires people to understand the mechanics of how Highland or rural living can affect and engage with the local wider community.

A competitive salary of c.£45,000 to £50,000, 15% bonus potential + Live In Package await the successful candidate.
