More job losses in Edinburgh as Hawksmoor temporarily shuts its doors

The popular steak restaurant decided to close the business as of Tuesday 17th. Company bosses sited the reason for closure as “in the interest of public health”.
The closure has resulted in job losses. Sister restaurants in London and Manchester were also closed.
The announcement came the day after the Prime Minister requested that people avoid non-essential contact in places like pubs, bars and restaurants. The hospitality sector across the UK has already seen huge losses.
Hospitality business owners say they are unable to claim from their insurance as there was no order for business to close, only a recommendation.
