Interviews can be a nerve-racking experience for anyone. Here are some of our expert consultants’ top tips for getting the most out of your interview!

Interviewers make up their mind about a candidate within minutes of meeting. While this may seem unfair, it’s only human nature to gravitate towards people you identify with. For optimal results ensure you are dressed appropriately – this can mean different things for different interviews! If you’re unsure, it’s better to be over dressed, than underdressed!
Simple body language can have a huge impact. Sitting up straight instead of slumping will give the interviewer a keen impression. Even easier; smile! Coming across happy makes the interviewer more inclined to want to spend more time with you (i.e give you the job!)
If more than one person is interviewing you, DO NOT attempt to determine who is the most important. Ensure that you address all member interviewing you equally.
Ensure you are as prepared as possible. Having a good general knowledge of the company is hugely beneficial. Give their website a quick scan for info. Read back the job description so that you can phrase your answers accordingly.
