Here’s a list of the major events cancelled in Edinburgh because of COVID-19

The coronavirus has caused uproar in the hospitality, tourism and leisure industry. Many events have had to be cancelled or postponed in a bid to slow the spread of the virus. Here’s a list of all the major events in Edinburgh affected.
Royal Highland Show
This event is completely cancelled. It is Scotland's largest annual agricultural event, which attracts over 1,000 exhibitors and up to 190,000 visitors. It was scheduled to take place in June.
Edinburgh Science Festival
This event is also cancelled. It was due to take place from 4-19th April.
Sporting events
All Scottish football has been suspended, currently with no set date to resume.
Rugby has also been suspended by Scottish Rugby. This will include all domestic league and cup fixtures, training, festivals and other rugby events and the FOSROC Super6 tournament.
Beltane Fire Festival
This event is cancelled. It was due to take place on 30th April. It will be the second time in 32 years that the society have not celebrated Beltane on Calton Hill.
Record Store Day
This UK-wide event has been rescheduled to 20th June. Edinburgh vinyl store VoxBox is one of the many record stores participating.
Usher Hall shows and concerts
The Usher Hall has cancelled a number of concerts including George Watson's School concert on 19 March, RSNO: John Williams at the Oscars on 20 March, RSNO: School Concert 360 Live: Coasts and Waters on 31 March, Edinburgh Sings on 23 March, Edinburgh Bach Choir on 28 March and National Youth Orchestra of Scotland Symphony Orchestra Tour on 9 April.
