Glasgow restaurant wins Scotland 'Scottish Restaurant of the Year

highly popular Glasgow restaurant has just been crowned Best in Scotland, a prestigious UK awards ceremony

The event, which took place in London and was hosted by Strictly Come Dancing host Claudia Winkleman, showcased some of Britain's best culinary talent.

The luxurious and stylish bar on Great Western Road is managed by top Scottish chef and only chef in Scotland to get a Michelin star, Lorna McNee - a feat that in just five months she has succumbed to.

Lorna had earlier told The Glasgow Times: 'Winning a Michelin star has been a dream of mine since I became a chef. The feeling of achieving it is better than I could have ever imagined.

The city's Michelin-starred restaurant was announced the winner at a glitzy awards ceremony in London on Monday (25 September) under the leadership of the television presenter Claudia Winkleman.

Chef Lorna McNee and Chef de Partie Lewis shared pictures of the event with the award and expressed their joy at securing it.

An AA Inspector said: "Off the main drag in Glasgow's west end, Cail Bruich is an unassuming place with an open and bright design of greys and silvers mixed with crisp white tablecloths.
