Britain's most remote continental pub has opened its doors again after its own pubs raised £1million for renovations
The Old Forge is located on the Knoydart Peninsula in Scottish Inverie.
The customers are required to hike 18 miles through the Highlands for a pint, or swim the seven miles from Mallaig.
The area is the most remote mainland community in Britain, with only 111 people left isolated from the motorway network.
The 17th-century liquor store was bought in March last year by the Local Government Association after nine years of operation by its previous owner.
It took several months, but when the team announced that the 4-century pub will open on Friday 4th August, locals queued for a statement of support.
Stephanie Harris, 34, commercial development manager for the Old Forge Community Benefit Society, said: "Reopening was all a bit of a blur.
Locals established The Old Forge Community Benefit Society and raised more than £1m by crowdfunding and grants.
