I have been placed by Xpress recruitment in two roles. In the first instance they assisted me in relocating back to Scotland, after a period of eight years in England. Latterly they came to the rescue after I had been made redundant.
In my view the most striking feature of the service that a candidate receives from Xpress is the feeling of professional support. Right from the initial conversation it is apparent that you are not just a CV and that thought and great care is given to any role for which you are entered. Whilst the primary driver in this approach may well be their professional duty to their Client, it becomes obvious that with Xpress they take great satisfaction from ensuring that the candidate feels that they are achieving a career aspiration in attaining the role.
Another area, where in my view, Xpress outshine the competition is with their pre interview briefings. Not only do they give you information but they also check your understanding of the role and the research that you have done on the prospective organisation. They have even previewed presentations for me in the past and given feedback that was proven to be invaluable.
No matter how prepared you are and no matter how deep your knowledge of the topic, redundancy is a traumatic experience for many of us. When this happened to me I couldn’t have asked for more from Xpress. They took time to call even when there was no role on the horizon and when a role did appear they were incredibly supportive. Their support during this period was the confidence boost which, on reflection, I needed at that time.
