The property we are exclusively recruiting for requires an experienced, talented and career driven Sous Chef. Situated in the city centre the property has been a focus of the area for over 20 years now. The operator has recently acquired many more properties adding to an already existing portfolio which is continuing to grow, with that it’s an exciting time to come onboard with this expansive company.


The Job: 


You will be fully accountable for the ensuring the day to day running of the kitchen brigade, as the Sous Chef you will also be totally responsible for managing the complete day to day running of this business in the absence of the Head Chef. The food concept has recently been rolled out in this property where the key focus is on as fresh offering as possible in this very high volume establishment. A new supply chain has been established to provide clear provenance of all products/ingredients for the menu offering. Another caveat to this property is that it has a solid team base in the kitchen going forward.


The Person:   


Our client is looking for someone who has passion for innovative menus, an interest in food provenance, and a flair for baking, as well as a good working knowledge of HACCP, Food Safety and Allergen Legislation understanding.  Previous experience in a similar role is essential as are computer skills and financial acumen, together with the ability to organise and prioritise a busy workload. Experience from a similar high volume fresh food establishment is vital to be considered for this position, it maybe you are in a contract catering background looking to return to a full restaurant lifestyle.
