The property we are exclusively recruiting for requires an experienced, talented and career driven Head Chef to take the new food concept to market. Situated in the West End of the city the property has been a focus of the area for over 50 years. The operator has recently acquired the property adding to an already existing portfolio which is continuing to grow, with that it’s an exciting time to come onboard with this expansive company.
The Job:
As Head Chef you will be totally responsible for managing the complete day to day running of this business which will be agreed by you and the executive team as part of the overall estate strategic vision and development. You will be fully accountable for the Financial day to day targets as well as all agreed GP’s and supplier negotiations, you will be fully on board with the product and will work to a clear business plan. The new food concept has recently been rolled out in this property where the key focus is on an all fresh offering in high volume establishment. A new supply chain has been established to provide clear provenance of all products/ingredients for the menu offering. Another caveat to this property is that it has a solid team base in the kitchen from which to build on going forward.
The Person:
Our client is looking for someone who has passion for innovative menus, an interest in food provenance, and a flair for baking, as well as a good working knowledge of HACCP, Food Safety and Allergen Legislation understanding. Previous experience in a similar role is essential as are computer skills and financial acumen, together with the ability to organise and prioritise a busy workload. Experience from a similar high volume fresh food establishment is vital to be considered for this position, it maybe you are in a contract catering background looking to return to a full restaurant lifestyle.
