The Place:
Our client is a well-established Scottish hospitality group based predominantly in and around Edinburgh. An outstanding family-run business that has continued to grow and expand over many years. The most recent addition to the group is looking for an outstanding Sous Chef to join the team and strengthen the Kitchen brigade at this 'classic gastropub dishes' restaurant which it's all about the feel-good factor of using fresh produce. As Sous Chef you will support and assist the current Head Chef as they relaunch new and exciting menus within the operation.
The Job:
As the Sous Chef, you will report directly to the Head Chef, as part of your remit you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless running of the kitchen department in the most efficient and effective manner in line with the company’s brand standards. Looking at all areas of great kitchen management; Menu Development, Staffing and Rota’s, Supplier engagement, Fresh and New Products, Stocks and GP’s. You will be required to lead the team in service and therefore will need to be versed in all technical competencies relating to this role. You will deliver the highest possible levels of food quality and timings and assist in ensuring key performance indicator targets are achieved. The Rewards:
A competitive salary of up to £35,000 will be offered to the right candidate, along with a highly attractive Tronc (approx 5k) and various in-house employer schemes.
