Our client operates a number of unique, and modern business interests and is continuing to expand throughout Scotland. They are currently looking to recruit a dedicated, professional, and career-oriented Sous Chef to join the new management structure in one of their St Andrews operations.
As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef along with the daily operational matters relating to the venue in the absence of the Head Chef. You will implement and maintain service standards and develop junior staff team members through coaching and training. Additionally, you will be accountable for maintaining health and safety standards, whilst ensuring high levels of customer service are achieved. As Sous, you will be working very closely with the Head Chef for the delivery of lunch and dinner service, serving Scottish produce with a focus on creative specials and seafood.
It is essential that you will have gained a structured and experienced kitchen background, preferably working within a gastropub venue or a pub restaurant operation. As a Sous Chef, we are looking for that unique individual who can drive and develop the younger members of the kitchen brigade. You should be flexible and focused and will have excellent leadership and man-management skills.
A basic salary of £30k is available with added tronc element of up to £5k a year.
