We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef for a modern, trendy and dynamic new restaurant in Edinburgh City Centre. The Sous chef will be part of this new operation that will open in summer 2019 and will offer a fresh modern Bangladeshi cuisine, with authentic and contemporary options for breakfast, lunch & dinner service. We need chefs with first-class cooking skills and who have a passion for food and hospitality and with attention to detail. We would like you to train, develop, maintain and improve the high standard of service to new and existing staff. We are looking for a Sous Chef experienced within a similar role for at least 3 years. Experience with New openings is advantageous but not essential.
The Head Chef will have:
- A stable career path and plenty of charisma
- A strong experience with fast pace, high volume
- Be able to manage a large team: from recruitment to disciplinary, training, development & staff retention
- Business mind, commercially and financially astute
- Plenty of experience with P&L
- Improving staff retention and management
- Menu development and costing - alongside the Chef Director
- Improving GP, standards and department functionalities
