Our client operates a very busy and popular large 4-star City Centre property, which over the last 3 years has continually grown and expanded both its market share as well as its profitability within the group.
The Job
Managing a team of 5, the successful candidate will be responsible for delegating daily work tasks in line with planned maintenance and reactive maintenance issues.
Dealing with all contractors and liaising with suppliers. Controlling all capital spending in line with agreed budgets. Staff management and internal communication are critical to the success of the job
The Person
Ideally, you will have gained a working knowledge of hotel maintenance or similar environment, and your background will be able to demonstrate a firm understanding of the trades e.g. qualified engineer, electrician or plumber. Your experience to date must be able to highlight successes and achievements in areas of maintenance, covering: controlling costs, working to budgets, managing staff and communicating with internal and external people. Personality needs to be resilient, robust and encouraging as no two days can be the same
The Rewards
Excellent basic salary which will pay up to £39,000 for the right candidate, superb large company benefits – which can be fully expanded upon at a later stage.
