The Place:
Bar & Restaurant Head Chef, New opening, Latin American cuisine, Glasgow city centre. Part of a national group.
The Job:
As Head Chef you will be clearly responsible for running this amazing new city centre kitchen, the face and name to be associated with the business, driving up the energy levels and working closely with your General Manager, making sure that all policies and procedures are implemented through a kitchen brigade of loyal, devoted and dedicated team members in growing and establish the superb culinary reputation that will help bring individuals back again and again.
You will be passionate about creating a comfortable and friendly, yet professional environment for all of your team, it is essential that you have drive and enthusiasm as well as a passion for Latin American cuisine.
The Person:
Ideally, we are looking for an experienced Head Chef or indeed perhaps an existing Sous Chef who might well be looking to make that move to a new and exciting venue, applying candidates must be able to demonstrate a quality background and a track record within the licensed trade to date, this successful individual must be able to commercially understand how an independent entrepreneurial operates coupled with the understanding of how branded concepts change and compete within a very competitive environment.
As Head Chef you will be hands-on which will involve you overseeing the day-to-day operations of this what will be a trendy outlet. You will be responsible for leading & motivating the team. The main focus has to be on high-end, trending Latin American cuisine that will complement the operation front of house. In addition, you will be assisting with staff rotas and wage costs, stock ordering and control, etc.
The Rewards:
£35-40k salary plus bonus potential, free meals on duty, and employee discounts throughout the group.
