The Place:
Xpress are working on behalf of a leading UK Contract Catering Organisation, owing to internal changes they are looking to appoint a talented Chef de Partie for one of their Edinburgh City Centre venue’s. This venue is renowned for offering quality innovative volume-based food from an all fresh offering. The client has over 500 employees on site every day that need Breakfast/Lunch with the majority of work carried out in an open plan kitchen.
The Job:
As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for managing and supporting the Senior chefs along with the daily operational matters relating to the venue. You will implement and maintain service standards and help to develop junior staff team members. Additionally, you will be accountable for maintaining Health & Safety legislative standards whilst ensuring high levels of customer service are achieved. As a CDP you will working very closely with Senior Chefs in delivering the Breakfast and Lunch service for up to 500 covers at a time.
The Person:
It is essential that you will have gained a structured and experienced Kitchen Management background preferably working with a high-profile venue or a large contract catering operation. As a Chef de Partie, we are looking for that unique individual who can drive and develop themselves and the younger members of the kitchen brigade. You should be flexible and focused you and will have excellent leadership, man management skills and a hunger to succeed.
The Rewards:
A competitive salary of £22,000 per annum is on offer for approximately 37.5 hours a week with paid overtime included. The actual hours of work are Monday to Friday 07.00-15.30 with overtime paid as standard. You will also be entitled to 28 days holiday a year, this is a great opportunity to have a work life balance role.
