As part of our client coming out of lockdown, they are now looking to recruit and strengthen their existing Kitchen team by adding an additional Chef de Partie position The venue is world renowned and has set the bar at the very top end of customer experience ; all foods available within this luxury venue are operating a 2AA Rosette dining, our client also has luxury private dining facilities, which can be booked for exclusive and events. Set in as stunning and iconic Edinburgh location as a Chef learning and developing your skills and experience you will be working in a brand-new kitchen which is set within beautiful surroundings and easily accessible by bus and tram transport. This venue is currently just about to launch a multinational worldwide PR campaign to promote the venue to both UK and international visitors.
As a Chef de Partie you will be responsible for managing and supporting the senior chefs along with the daily operational matters relating to the venue. You will implement and maintain service standards and develop more junior team members. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining health and safety standards, whilst ensuring high levels of customer service are achieved. As a CDP you will working very closely with the senior chefs for the delivering of a breakfast, lunch and casual dinner for both the restaurant and functions part of the business. As a developing CDP you will be trained and supported by a highly talented brigade that current consists of ex Michelin trained Head Chef who is back up with a Group Development and Ambassador Chef who holds and existing Michelin accreditation. Working with local supplies you will also gain experience in flavour pairing and contracting of smells and tastes to enhance both the food experience while working in conjunction with award winning spirits and liqueurs.
It is essential that you will have gained a structured and experienced kitchen management background, preferably working with a high-profile venue or a Country House Hotel operation. As a CDP, we are looking for that unique individual who can drive your corner of the kitchen whilst pushing to learn more from the senior staff brigade. You should be flexible and focused and show the will to have excellent leadership and man management skills.
A competitive salary is on offer for this position depending on experience of up to £24,000, to £25,000 your hours of work with be based over a 5-day week comprising of straight early and late shifts and early shift would start at 8am and a last would finish at 10pm along with all the company benefits.
