Xpress are delighted to be working with a well-established private members sports club based on the west-side of Edinburgh (the “Club”).
As the Club looks to reopen after lockdown, the Club’s Committee have been developing plans that they now wish to implement to help strengthen and enhance its offering to existing members, as well as attracting new members to the Club, by creating this brand new post of Bar and Bookings Manager.
The Bar and Bookings Manager will be fully responsible for performing a host of vital duties and responsibilities in order to make sure that the Club and its members continue to experience a smooth day-to-day operation, providing the very best of customer service, which is at the very heart of the Club and its members.
The Bar and Bookings Manager will be responsible for managing all bar staff, the planning of rotas, delivery of all training and staff development, the ordering and auditing of stock and working with the Club’s suppliers in the preparation and sale of all alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink within the Club…all in an efficient, effective and friendly manner.
As part of this newly created appointment it has been agreed that the Bar and Bookings Manager will be responsible for enhancing and growing the existing Group (Private) Bookings set-up to attract more of these bookings into the Club and encourage repeat business.

All applying candidates must be able to fully demonstrate a working knowledge of bar management, cellar experience and staff management as well as holding a current PLH certificate.
Our client is looking at a starting salary of between £23,000 and £25,000 for the role, with the opportunity to increase this substantially over the next 2-5 years.
