The Five Sisters Zoo are running Autism-friendly nights for their Christmas illuminations

Five Sisters Zoo have announced two Autism-friendly nights for their Christmas illuminations. The zoo is magically lit up by thousands of lights and features heated areas, festive stalls, soft play as well as all the animals.  This year they are unveiling a new ‘enchanted riverside walk’, which runs alongside their new snow leopard enclosure.

The twinkly experience and will officially open on November 15. The autism-friendly nights are November 20 and November 28. The zoo has vowed to sell less tickets for these events, so that they will be less busy with smaller queues. Music will also be much quieter.

On opening night, James Cosmo (Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch) will be turning the lights on.
