Morrisons announce same-day delivery in Glasgow
Morrisons supermarket plans to bring a same-day home delivery service to the city of Glasgow by the end of 2019.
The supermarket are also becoming a retailer with Amazon Prime. Customers will be able to purchase their shopping from Morrisons via the Amazon Prime website or mobile app.
This service is currently available in various cities throughout the UK such as Birmingham and Leeds. Morrisons intends to extend this not only to Glasgow, but also to Newcastle, Liverpool, Sheffield and Portsmouth.
Chief executive of Morrisons, David Potts, said:
"Morrisons' conveniently located local supermarkets and Amazon's very popular website and customer offer are an ideal combination, offering ultra-fast same-day grocery home delivery for customers in and around cities across Britain.
"Amazon has been a valued partner of Morrisons for over three years and we are pleased to be expanding our relationship together."
