Lewis Hamilton launches plant-based burger chain

The five-time Formula One champion is now also one of the biggest investors in a new burger chain, Neat Burger. The first site will launch in London today.

As well as Lewis Hamilton, the new chain will also be back by the Cream Group and Beyond Meat, who provide meat alternatives.

The first site can be found at 2 Prince’s Street in London’s Mayfair. The group plan to expand very rapidly, scheduling 14 franchisees in the next two years.

The menu will have three principal burgers: ‘the neat’, ‘the cheese’ and ‘the chick’n’. The menu will also feature vegetarian hotdogs and various side dishes such as skinny fires and ‘tater tots’.  The company have also contracted eco-friendly and ethically aware brands such as Just Water, Lemonaid and Toast Ale.

Lewis Hamilton said: “I’m very passionate about being kinder to our world and also really respect Neat Burger’s commitment to more ethical practices and supporting small businesses, so this is something I’m also really proud to support.”

“But it is also about the product. As someone who follows a plant-based diet, I believe we need a healthier high street option that tastes amazing but also offers something exciting to those who want to be meat-free every now and again.”
