Greggs are set to launch a new vegan product in 2020

Following the huge success of the vegan sausage roll, Greggs have announced a new mystery vegan item which will be added to the menu in January 2020!

The bakery giant took to Twitter to release a teaser video for a “Greggs X Vegan” product. Proclaiming this wasn't 'flake news'.

Greggs have kept especially quiet on which of their products they will creating vegan alternatives for, although Roger Whiteside (CEO) did say they were working on vegan options for ALL products. The CEO revealed that he himself is vegan.

In November, there was serious speculation that Greggs would be launching a vegan steak bake in time for Christmas. In December, Greggs told the ChronicleLive that it had no updates on this.

The succes of the vegan sausage roll which was launched in January 2019, aided in a 11.1% sales increase.
