New bar restaurant at Glasgow Airport brings 100 jobs

A new bar and restaurant are close to opening at Glasgow Airport on Wednesday, and their owners are giving us a first look at what lies ahead.

Craig Norton, Glasgow airport customer officer, said: 'The Sanderling was a mainstay at the airport for years and a favourite with passengers, given its location just after World Duty Free in the departure lounge.

The opening of the office will create 70 new jobs and create an additional 30 next summer.

To be open by October, the Bird & Signet building, with its previous Sanderling Bar, will create almost 100 jobs.

The 700 square metre restaurant and beverage parlor holds 500 and replaces the former Sanderling bar.
