All staff dismissed as Broomhall Castle hotel in Stirling collapses

Management at Broomhall Castle, near Stirling, has ordered liquidators.

Brooomhall Castle, whose history goes back to 1874, was converted into a small hotel in 1985 and has rooms of events, a restaurant and 17 en-suite rooms

Scotland's Daily Express reports the castle, which dates back to 1874, has operated as a hotel and business suite since 1985, with 12 staff also made redundant.

But trading was severely harmed as a result of the Covid lockouts as debts built up, rendering the business unprofitable.

Trading suspension was halted at popular wedding spot Broomhall Castle on August 2 and all 12 employees sacked after administrators were hired.
