The companies still hiring during COVID-19

The coronavirus has had a horrific effect on the hospitality industry across the world. We seen thousands of vacancies disappear overnight. However, there are still companies recruiting.

Supermarkets

Supermarkets across the UK are looking for a staggering 35,000 new staff members to assist in the sudden increase in demand. Similarly, suppliers of supermarkets are also on the hunt for new employees.

Tesco are looking for around 20,000 new staff to work in-store for at least the next few months. You can apply here.

Asda has stated it will be looking to recruit 5,000 temporary staff. You can apply here.

Aldi announced 5,000 new temporary positions and 4,000 permanent roles. These jobs cover store workers and distribution centre staff. Apply here.

Morrisons are looking for around 3,500 people to assist as drivers, pickers and distribution centre staff. Apply here.

Lidl has created about 2,500 new temporary positions across the UK. Visit their jobsite here.

Care providers

As well as supermarkets, home care company Cera is looking for 10,000 relief staff to assist the NHS and help the elderly who are currently in isolation. It promised that it would provide all training and certification required ant that staff could be earning income in as little as 10 days. Get more information here.

Similarly, Home Instead Senior Care (care provider) is looking for 3,000 new care workers. They stated that no experience was necessary and all training will be provided. Apply here.

HC-One is also looking for thousands of permanent staff across its 300 care homes. Apply here.

Lloyds Pharmacy

Lloyds Pharmacy has 1,500 jobs available, both temporary and permanent. Roles include dispensers, pharmacists, drivers and warehouse staff. Apply here.

Virgin Media

Virgin Media have created 500 new  jobs in its UK call centres. Locations include Birmingham, Sheffield, Manchester and Teesside. Apply here.

Moy Park
