The Place:
Our client is one of the UK`s largest hospitality organisations. Owing to internal changes within their business they are now looking for an Event Manager to work with their prestigious venues and sites in and around Birmingham.
The Job:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our clients Hospitality Team for an Event Manager. Based in Birmingham you will be responsible for all events that are based at their large scale venues and sites around area. Working as part of the Events Team, you will be focused on the planning and operation of allocated events. You will have the ability and confidence to ensure total commitment and understanding of all business goals and objectives, as well as operating to the highest standards in all aspects of your work. It is your responsibility to ensure that food, beverage and service standards are organised and implemented to the optimum level. To produce event business plans in support of the overall business plan and financial performance to the budget, and actual cost to the forecast. This role needs someone who is aware of the logistics, ordering, equipment, organisation, and make up and break up of every event on a daily basis.
The Person:
This role would suit someone who has had extensive previous events experience, both in mobile and fixed site venues, and who is looking to progress their career in Event catering. It is essential to have extensive experience in mobile site management and high volume quality venues and finance management. This challenging role requires a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with excellent organisation and planning skills and confidence in dealing with clients, management and staff at all levels with good verbal and written communication skills are essential, and as well as being extremely organised you will be confident in managing a team. You must be financially astute, have experience of managing major accounts and high profile client relationships as you will have full responsibility for organisation and planning at high profile national major events for hospitality for 1200 plus covers and to support a team to run these events.
The Rewards:
A very competitive salary package and bonus are offered in the region of £30,000.
