Our client is a leading UK & International Contract Catering Organisation, owing to internal promotions and changes that are now looking to appoint to one of their high profile Edinburgh based venue’s an Executive Head Chef. This venue is renowned for offering high quality innovative volume based food. Our client ideally would like to attract perhaps a highly talented Head Chef who has worked in a Prestigious large scale Contract Catering establishment where they are having to deal with thousands of meals per day coupled with private dining, banqueting and special bespoke events within their remit.
As Executive Head Chef you will be responsible for managing and supporting a sound and robust Kitchen Brigade along with overseeing all daily operational matters relating to the venue . You will implement and maintain service standards and develop staff through coaching and training. Additionally you will be accountable for rota’s, payroll, achieving set budgets and targets and maintaining Health & Safety standards whilst ensuring high levels of customer service are achieved. As Executive Head Chef you will working very close with the Client is menu arrangement and planning you will also be expected to work on a rolling 6 month menu development concept looking at new and innovative menu concepts
It is essential that you will have gained a structured and experienced Kitchen Management background preferably working with a high profile venue or a large resort type Hotel operation. As Excutive Head Chef we are looking for that unqiue individual who can easily drive and develop and determined kitchen brigade to really move the operation forward, reviewing the client base and increasing the food offered accordingly, with a view to increasing sales. Flexible and focused you will have excellent leadership and man management skills with the ability to train and develop the team. Someone that is always got that thirst for knowledge in this ever changing Food environment where regulation and menu concept involving Health, Nutritional values and calorie counts are no longer a food trends, they are part of mainstream.
A competitive salary of up to c.£45,000 plus company benefits and fantastic development opportunity will be rewarded to the successful candidate.
