Xpress Recruitment are delighted to be working with a one of the UK largest based Contract Catering organisation and owing to recent round of new contracts wins within Scotland, our client is now having to look externally to attract an up and coming Catering Managers & Chef Managers who will be responsible for managing a developing new site contract catering concept across the central belt of Scotland . As the catering Manager or Chef Manager you will be responsible for a small team of perhaps 4 to 12 staff and you will also have the opportunity to work with the brand franchise concepts within your contract catering unit. this is great opportunity for either a current Catering Manager in a small unit or a Chef Manager or an Assistant Catering Manager looking for that next step up or indeed if you are currently perhaps working for a hotel resort type establishment where you are now looking to move your career into more Corporate style Contract Catering remit ideally you will have a strong commercial knowledge and a very good background in Food & Beverage .
As a Catering Manager or Chef Manager you will be reporting into an Area Catering Manager and as part of you remit you will be fully responsible for overseeing the day to day operation of a busy units, each unit is staffed be the one structure, therefor applying candidates must be able to demonstrate that they have managed busy and high volume establishments. As Catering Manager your remit will be to make sure that all staffing structures are able to cover the running of the unit. As Catering Manager you will be fully responsible for managing all financial budgets, working to agree GPs as well as keeping up to date compliance and staffing records.
Ideally, we are looking to attract experienced Catering Manager or someone who has perhaps worked within a Visitor Atrraction / Venue as a General Manager or Chef Manager or Acting Contract Catering Manager who perhaps are now looking to take that next step up into a medium and large sized remit or indeed you might well be working in a F&B venue type remit and you are now looking to move to more of a Contract Catering environment where you are dealing with the same people on a regular bases and building up great customer service and relations within your responsibility.
Our client is looking to appoint a Catering Manager on a basic up to £22,000 up to £31,000 the company also operates a pension scheme and ongoing incentives and for the right individuals the company can offer career advancement within the group
