Interstate secures management deal for Hampton by Hilton Stansted

Interstate Europe Hotels & Resorts UK has been awarded the management contract for the Hampton by Hilton Stansted Airport hotel, which is set to open this summer.

The Glasgow-based hotel management company currently operates 69 properties in the UK.

The firm has taken on the new build which will have 357 bedrooms and is set to be one of the largest Hampton by Hilton properties globally. It is expected to create 120 jobs in the area.

The contract is the fourth agreement Interstate has taken on this year, following a successful 2016 during which the organisation’s signed UK portfolio grew by 16 new hotels.

Interstate Europe’s UK division has six more hotel openings planned in the coming months, including properties in London, Luton, Edinburgh and Durham.

Nicholas Northam, managing director for the UK at Interstate Europe, said: “We’re thrilled to be operating this exciting new hotel at Stansted.

“It’s a landmark development in the globally renowned Hampton by Hilton brand and in its location at Stansted Airport, we’re confident it will prove a popular choice with both business and leisure travellers.”

He added: “Our UK portfolio is experiencing significant growth at present, as more investors and owners realise the advantages of working with an exclusively third-party hotel management company such as Interstate.”
