FutureChef Banquet - Prestonfield House 2018

What was once the FutureChef Regional Final Dinner has become The FutureChef Banquet, celebrating the finest young chefs in the country.

The meal will take place in Prestonfield House, Edinburgh, one of the most luxurious 5-star hotels in the city. Situated beside the famous Arthur’s Seat, the hotel was once a monastery, but now serves as a luxury hotel for the region. The evening will be hosted by one of Scotland’s most well-known faces, Dougie Vipond, and will feature a delicious selection of courses.

FutureChef is both a programme and a competition, both geared towards developing industry talent from 12-16 year olds around the country. Springboard’s FutureChef Competition is divided into four rounds, or ‘heats’, in which the competitors strive to progress to the next level in the hopes of winning the National heat. The four heats are schools, local, regional and national – all with different budgets and challenges that must be conquered to move onto the next stage. The Local Finals are now underway, with the final taking place on the 12th March 2018. It also aims at recognising the schools, mentors and teachers that help support them.
