Former Roxburghe Hotel relaunched as The Principal Edinburgh Charlotte Square after £25m refurbishment
The former Roxburghe Hotel in Edinburgh has relaunched as The Principal Edinburgh Charlotte Square following a £25 million refurbishment.
The refurbishment of all 199 rooms was led by interior architects Goddard Littlefair in a year-long phased refurbishment.
The hotel's courtyard has also been put to garden.
It marks the second hotel to open under the Principal brand, with the 240-room former George Hotel relaunched in November of last year as Principal Edinburgh following a multi-million pound refurb, also led by Goddard Littlefair.
Principal is the brand name launched by US investment firm Starwood Capital for its collection of UK city-centre hotels.
Starwood Capital also owns the Blythswood Square and the Grand Central hotels in Glasgow.
