Ayrshire butcher procures exclusive sales deal with Asda

A family butcher in Ayrshire have bagged themselves a sales deal with supermarket giant, Asda, to stock its new sausage range aimed at kids.

'We Hae Meat' butchers have created tractor-shaped beef sausage slices which will now be sold in 52 Asda stores nationwide. Sales are expected to peak at 150,000 slices in year one. The new range is a product of investment in new equipment and manufacturing processes. This will be the first range of healthy sausages aimed at children We Hae Meat has produced. They claim the sausges contain half the amount of salt and fat per 100g, than other Scottish sausge products aimed at kids.

We Hae Meat already have ten products availavle in Asda stoes.

Carlyn Paton, director, said “The new deal marks the start of We Hae Meat’s expansion into the kid’s sausage market, helping us to meet the growing demand for high quality and convenient meat products, which have the right balance for health and well-being for children.

“We’ve three children ourselves, so our priority was to create a product which delivers on nutritional value as well as taste.”
