Ardoe House Hotel & Spa sold to MSB Admiral

The Aberdeen hotel's buyer is a UK company set up Malaysian businessmen Wai Hin Choy and Wai Ceong Choy which also owns the Mercure Brandon Hall Hotel and Spa in Warwickshire.

The Ardoe House Hotel & Spa in Aberdeen has been sold for an undisclosed sum.

The buyer is MSB Admiral, a UK company set up Malaysian businessmen Wai Hin Choy and Wai Ceong Choy in April 2017 which also owns the Mercure Brandon Hall Hotel and Spa in Warwickshire.

Property agent JLL led the sale of the 120-room hotel on behalf of hotel investor and manager, Amaris Hospitality.

The four-star Ardoe House, located three miles from Aberdeen city centre, has one of the largest conference spaces in the city, with space for 750 people, and sits within 30 acres of grounds.

Kerr Young of JLL said: “This was the fourth hotel that JLL brokered in Aberdeen during 2017 and provides further evidence that investors, both domestic and overseas, believe in the long term prospects in the Aberdeen Hotel market that has been impacted by short term trading volatility following the recent oil price fluctuations.”
