The Place:
Our client owns and manages highly respected international branded full serviced hotels in Africa with plans to add 20-25 hotels over the next 3-5 years throughout the African continent; one of which is a newly built 150 plus bed roomed hotel in south east Africa, this unique hotel has good meeting, conference and banqueting facilities with the largest room being able to hold 200. The restaurant and bar have street access to a newly built very busy piazza, plus a swimming pool on the roof with views over the city. We are now recruiting for a Restaurant Manager for this prestigious property.
The Job:
As restaurant manager you will drive a team to effectively manage this 180 cover restaurant offering a contemporary and modern menu. Although part of the Hotel, the restaurant has its own entrance, standing alone the restaurant offers a first class 5* dining experience. Concentrating both on front of house customer service, sales development as well as maintaining stock control, operational process and maintaining high standards within the restaurant is all part of the role as well as managing and motivating your team.
The Person:
The successful candidate for this role will have previous supervisory or management experience within a high volume and world renowned quality restaurant or club offering a quality dining experience. You must have a keen eye for detail, a good understanding of stock related processes, have good leadership skills in order to get the best out of your team and also have the drive and desire to deliver great customer service.
The Rewards:
A competitive salary of up to US$ 60,000 net plus full expat package.
