The Place:
My client is currently looking to recruit an innovative and passionate Head Chef for their Glasgow City Centre property. As the business portfolio continues to grow rapidly across the UK, in 2012 they plan to open a number of new volume led sites focusing on producing a 100% fresh food, and with this they now have an excellent career opportunity for a dedicated and professional Head Chef.
The Job:
As Head Chef of this extremely busy operation, you will manage a brigade of dedicated chefs. Building a strong working relationship in the kitchen will be a key operational objective, and you will actively manage the recruitment, development, motivation and coaching of your team both effectively and consistently in order to ensure maximum customer satisfaction at all times. This company believes that where a team works harmoniously the business will ultimately show increased profitability!
In addition to being a hands-on Head Chef, you will have full responsibility for stock control, achieving budgeted gross profit percentage, and of course that all Health & Safety and Food Hygiene initiatives and legislation are met and achieved.
The Person:
As Head Chef you will lead from the front line and be hands-on in the kitchen at key service delivery times, with the ability to steer the kitchen and effectively lead from the front.
Your personal standards should be invariably high and you must believe in your product 100% and the level of perfection required. You will need to be a passionate and creative team leader; an extrovert and most of all have the entrepreneurial skills to make the business a real success story.
To succeed in this role you will need to have held a previous Head Chef role and be able to demonstrate clear experience in approximately 200 cover volume fresh food and quality led Restaurant operations.
The Rewards:
